INDIE GAME PUBLISHER · FOUNDED 2021
PUBLISHING THE FUTURE
Scuffed Publishing is an indie-first games publisher founded in 2021 to support Our Last Hope, our in-development original title. Today we work with small teams and solo developers to bring bold, original games to PC and console audiences — with marketing, platform relationships, and launch support.
WHAT WE DO
Publisher services for indie developers who still want to make the game.
Platform Relations
Steam, Epic, GOG, Nintendo, PlayStation, Xbox — we manage the paperwork so developers build the game.
Marketing & PR
Press outreach, trailer production, capsule art, Steam page copy, Reddit/TikTok/Twitter campaigns.
Launch Support
Closed beta management, press embargos, Steam Next Fest planning, Day-1 patch coordination.
WHY SCUFFED PUBLISHING
What makes us different from the other 200 indie publishers.
We Ship Our Own Games
We're not a publisher that outsources development — we run Scuffed Studios and ship our own titles. That means we understand crunch, scope creep, and the gap between "feature-complete" and "shippable" because we live it. Our advice comes from the trenches, not a slide deck.
Developer-Friendly Terms
No perpetual IP grabs. No mandatory exclusivity windows. We structure deals so developers keep ownership of their game and their future. Our standard rev-share recoup model is transparent, and we publish the key terms before you sign anything.
Hands-On Launch Support
From Steam page optimization and capsule art to Next Fest strategy and Day-1 patch coordination, we handle the logistics so developers stay focused on the game. We've managed closed betas, press embargos, and cross-platform launches — and we document everything so you can learn as we go.
FOR DEVELOPERS
We're actively looking for indie developers working on roguelikes, deckbuilders, tactical strategy, idle/tycoon games, and anything that makes us say "wait, that's a whole game?" If you have a prototype or vertical slice and need help getting it to market, we want to hear from you.
Our sweet spot is small teams (1-5 people) building PC-first games with strong mechanical hooks and a clear audience. We're not interested in clones, and we don't fund pitches that start with "it's like X but with Y." We fund the games that couldn't exist without a specific creative vision driving them.
WE BACK SCUFFED IDEAS
If your pitch deck includes the phrase "just like $BIG_GAME but with…", we're probably not your publisher. We fund games that are weirdly specific, take real swings, and couldn't exist at a bigger studio. The riskier the premise, the more we pay attention.
